  • What is TfM - why have we changed to a TfM approach, and what have teachers and pupils have gained from this? 
  • seeing TfM in the classroom - watch part of a lesson in Year 6;
  • find out about TfM PD opportunities available in the area
  • discussion and questions

Who will be leading the group?

Sarah Lester, Deputy Headteacher, Maths Lead, SENDCo and Year 6 teacher, Holy Trinity Catholic Primary, Bilston. Having adopted a Teaching for Mastery approach at her school since 2020, Sarah has trained with NCETM to become a Teaching for Mastery Specialist teacher for SHaW Maths Hub

Sarah Darlington, Year 4 Leader, Phase Maths Leader and Year 4 teacher, Fallings Park Primary School, Wolverhampton. Sarah has co-led the development of Teaching for Mastery programme at her school since 2019. Sarah has recently completed post-graduate studies in Specialist Primary Mathematics Practice and has trained with NCETM to become a Teaching for Mastery Specialist teacher for SHaW Maths Hub
