Leading Mathematics: Enabling Sustainable Change – Developing systems to support subject knowledge

Thursday 21 November, Thursday 30 January, Thursday 5 June Online

Aiming to develop maths subject knowledge across your school?

This pathway will support you to develop systems which ensure the sustainability of the changes you implement in your school.  Systems which are manageable, transferable and aim to unite and develop your whole staff.  This will include efficient ways to use collaborative planning to improve staff subject knowledge, effective lesson design and pedagogical understanding.

Led by a Primary Mastery Specialist, you will work collaboratively in classroom-based activities to refine and improve your teaching. Evidence-based, and in line with EEF recommendations, this model of Professional Development is designed to support substantial long-term change.

Who will be leading the group?

Roxy White

Roxy is a Year 5 Teacher and Maths Lead at Cleobury Mortimer Primary School. She has recently completed her Primary Maths Teaching for Mastery Specialist training after gaining a PD Lead accreditation and leads workgroups across the SHaW Maths Hub. Roxy is training as a NCETM School Development Lead and has previously developed Maths Networking across a large trust. She is a guest lecturer at University of Worcester and a visiting fellow at Ambition Institute, where she facilitates NPQ Primary Mathematics.
